Gulf Breeze Police Report – April 13 – 18, 2017

Thursday, April 13

At the 700 block of U.S. Highway 98, a traffic stop for suspicion of DUI led to the arrest of the 79-year-old Gulf Breeze driver for DUI at 2:51 p.m. The driver, Edith Ponson, was arrested by Gulf Breeze Police and booked into Santa Rosa County Jail following the stop.
Also on Thursday, at the 300 block of Hwy. 98, a traffic stop for an equipment violation by GBPD at 9:35 p.m. led to the arrest of a Mobile, Ala. man for Moving Traffic Violations. The driver, Joshon Barnes, 27, was arrested for Driving With a Suspended License, and Attaching an Unassigned Tag to a Vehicle.

Friday, April 14

At the Valero Gas Station, there was a report of a theft from a motor vehicle.
At the 1800 block of Hwy. 98, a traffic stop for speeding at 9:48 p.m. led to the arrest of the Gulf Breeze driver for several drug charges. The driver, Amanda Warren, 28, was apprehended by police and charged with Possession of Marijuana (Under 20 Grams) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Saturday, April 15

At the 200 block of Northcliffe Drive, there was a report of a theft.
Also on Saturday, at the 100 block of Hwy. 98, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 2:16 p.m. for a window tint violation. The stop ultimately led to the arrest (Notice to Appear) of the Tallahassee driver on drug charges. The driver, Andrew Moses, 26, was charged with Possession of Marijuana (Under 20 Grams) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
At the 600 block of Hwy. 98, a traffic stop for a seatbelt violation at 5:14 p.m. led to the arrest (Notice to Appear) of a Pensacola man on drug charges. The driver, Reynold Ascencio, 20, was ultimately charged with Possession of Marijuana (Under 20 Grams) and was sent on his way.
