“Journey to Oz” to be presented March 1-3

Several Youth ranging in age from 4 to 19 from Gulf Breeze, Pensacola Beach and surrounding communities will present 
the “Journey to Oz” on Pensacola Beach next weekend.  
 
B.E.T.A. – BROADENING EDUCATION THRU ARTS since 1986 has been producing quality family theatrical entertainment and training of youth in musical theatre. Many students can be spotted on Disney/Universal Stages, Broadway/Off- Broadway stages, Cruise Ships and International Tours, according to Michelle Kerrigan McGee, President.
 
The musical features classic songs from the movie made almost 70 years ago such as “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, “Merry Ole’ Land of Oz” and “If I only Had a Brain”.
 
Sharing the role of Dorothy is Lily Campus, Age 9 and Chloe Ciolino, Age 8.  Both Girls were recently called back for a role in a professional production of “Annie”
at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.  Ciolino received the contract and will star in the ASF show this summer in the role of Molly.
 
Other rising stars in the B.E.T.A. production are Isabella Pinzone, Rebekah Boegle, Bella Ciolino, Tia Nealon, Jordan Pinzone, Cecelia Campus, Thaol Brannon, Chaz Brannon and Aizlin Rich.
 
The production will take place at 7 p.m., March 1-3 with an additional 2 p.m. showing March 3.  Shows will be performed at The Pensacola Beach Community Church, located at 920 Panferio Drive on Pensacola Beach.
