A Navarre man perished in a Memorial Day weekend crash near Hurlburt Field.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol press release, 44-year-old Paul Alex Nagy was traveling west along U.S. Highway 98 at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, about a quarter mile west of Cody Avenue, when his 2003 Pontiac van traveled into the north shoulder of Hwy. 98.
Once Nagy’s van ran off of the roadway, the Navarre man lost control of the vehicle and struck a fence. No one else on the roadway was hit during the incident according to the FHP report. The driver was later transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where he passed away from his injuries.
