Navarre Rotary Club announces 2017 Scholarship Program

Rotary Club of Navarre is excited to announce that they will be awarding ten $1,000 college scholarships to eligible 2016 Navarre High School seniors.
Five of the scholarships will be awarded to the outstanding cadets of the NHS JROTC program; One will be awarded to a member of the Interact Club; three scholarships will be awarded to members of the general student population; and their newest scholarship, The Pat Quinn Veterinary Science Scholarship will be awarded to a NHS senior who is pursuing a career in Veterinary or Animal Sciences.
Primary selection criteria includes:
– The student has demonstrated exceptional leadership and service to the community
– The student has demonstrated loyalty, moral character and patriotism
– Scholastic Aptitude (GPA)
– Academic Class Standing
– Financial Need
Applications for the scholarship may be obtained from the high school guidance counselors at Navarre High School and on the Navarre Rotary Club website at www.navarrerotary.org.
Deadline for completing the application and returning them to the high school guidance counselor’s office is 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, May 4.
Selections will be made prior to high school graduation by members of the Rotary Club of Navarre Scholarship Committee, and awarded during the recipient’s annual high school awards ceremony which is anticipated to be Thursday, May 18 at 6 p.m.
