SRSO yanks Live PD

It was short lived, but the hit television show “Live PD” pulled its camera crews out of Santa Rosa County and won’t be coming back to the area anytime soon.
The show features live ride-alongs with law enforcement officers and producers recently taped several shows with deputies in Santa Rosa County and also taped segments in Walton County with their sheriff’s department.
Earlier this week, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office announced their intentions to cease taping after running into issues with the State Attorney.
Under Florida law the State Attorney has to submit the names of all witnesses to defense attorneys that are included in the taping, unlike other states in the U.S.
Along with state law, federal law requires the State Attorney to give the defense the network’s footage from the show.
