12th Annual Penguin Plunge ‘n Paddle to benefit Healing Paws for Warriors

Posted on December 3, 2020 by Staff reports

Juana’s Pagodas and Sailors’ Grill is hosting the 12th Annual Penguin Plunge ‘n Paddle, which will benefit Healing Paws for Warriors, a nonprofit organization on a mission to —Save a Veteran / Rescue a Dog.

At 12:30 p.m., participants can show off their paddle skills in a stand-up paddle (SUP) board adventure course.

At 1:30 p.m., participants will take a dash from the beach and plunge into the Santa Rosa Sound.

Last year, more than 450 people took the plunge with hundreds more “chicken” spectators braving the cold to watch.

Afterwards, inside Juana’s beach tent, participants can “chill” and enjoy complimentary food, drink, live music, and also buy raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes.

This will be an outside event, and personal protective equipment/masks are encouraged.

Entry fee per person for the Plunge starts from $20, and the SUP Adventure starts from $30.  The sooner one registers, the less the cost. Registration on the day of the event is also available. Registered participants will receive a long sleeve t-shirt while supply lasts.

Participants can register on-line via: http://www.juanaspagodas.com/PenguinPlunge.htm
