Come celebrate the holidays at the Gulf Breeze Annual Holiday Parade presented by Titanium Wireless, on Saturday, December 7, 2019. The parade will start at 10:00 AM from behind Gulf Breeze High School. It will move down Shoreline Dr. and pass City Hall and the Gulf Breeze Community Center. Finally, the parade will turn onto McLane and end at Fairpointe Drive beside First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze.
Registration and sponsorship opportunities are now open and businesses, individuals and groups are welcome to participate in this Annual Holiday tradition for the Gulf Breeze community. Due to the unfortunate need to cancel the 2018 parade, and in consideration of the time and money our parade participants put into last year’s Totally Awesome 80’s Theme, we are recognizing their efforts with the same theme for the 2019 parade. This theme is in celebration of the 2018, 30th Anniversary of the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber. The possibilities are endless as participants have an entire decade of fads, hot toys and games, music, movies, TV shows and cartoons to decorate their entries to fit the theme. Once again there will be awards for Best in Show, Grand Marshal’s Choice, Best Holiday Spirit, and the “Top Hat Award” – a special award honoring the memory of beloved City of Gulf Breeze Mayor Lane Gilchrist.
In honor of the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber’s 30th Anniversary, we are excited to honor Margaret Cunningham as our parade Grand Marshal. Margaret was a founding member of the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber and has been a loyal member, supporting not only the efforts of the chamber, but many community endeavors for over 30 years.
