A proposed 469-lot single family residential development is planned for four parcels, totaling 172 acres, surrounding the South Santa Rosa County Annex on the south side of U.S. 98 and adjacent to Gulf Breeze Zoo in Midway.
The property is co-owned by developer Cliff Mowe, who is also constructing residential development on the north side of U.S. 98 on parcels adjacent to the east side of the future Soundside High School, which is now under construction and expected to open in the Fall of 2026.
The Soundview Cove Estates project includes 269 townhome (single family residential attached) lots and 200 single family residential detached lots on three vacant commercial and one non-ag parcel.
According to plans, the right of ways will have underground utilities and asphalt roads. All stormwater will be collected and conveyed via curb and gutter, curb inlets, and piping to the proposed detention ponds. The ponds and roadways will be constructed in accordance with Santa Rosa County and Northwest Florida Water Management District design standards but will remain privately owned and maintained except for a small portion of the entrance roadway.
