U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz today co-hosted an Early Voting Rally with Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs at the Prost Office Brewery in historic downtown Milton.
“I really need you to early vote,” Gaetz told the standing-room-only crowd, which repeatedly interupted the speakers with energertic bursts of cheering and clapping. “That is what I need from you. You see how hard President Trump fights for you. I’ve got to be there to have his back.”
Gaetz introduced Biggs as his best friend in Congress.
“We’re draining the swamp,” Biggs said. “There has been a marked difference since we’ve been in Congress. We are changing the rules, we are chaning the infrastructure, we are now trying to change the personnel…Years from now (Gaetz) will be viewed as an important historical figure.”
Gaetz’s father, Don, who previously served as Florida Senate President and is currently seeking the Florida District 1 Senate seat, provided the opening welcome and received an enthusiatic response from the audience, which included current members of the Milton City Council and Santa Rosa County Commission as well as Florida House District 2 Representative Michelle Salzman.
Registered voters in Santa Rosa County can vote at the following locations from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The sites will be open daily through Aug. 17.
