Local Author Launches New Thriller Mystery Series

Andi Lodge, a Santa Rosa County native with deep local roots, is an author known for writing captivating thriller mysteries set along the Gulf Coast. She was honored to be accepted as a member of Tropical Authors, a prestigious collective of writers, and next month her fourth book, Defending the Gulf Coast, will be released.

Lodge’s stories are filled with rich local flavor, some recognizable landmarks, heart-pounding suspense, and characters who care for their community and the hard-working people who call it home.

Her debut series followed Hilda Mae Palmer, a landscaper who uncovers danger, corruption, and intrigue at every turn, and some favorite characters from the Hilda Mae series also appear in the new book, which is the first in her second series..

The lead character of her latest book, Jase Thompson, lives in Bagdad, Florida. Thompson is a former Marine who signs up with a para-military organization fighting crime and lawlessness along the Gulf Coast – occasionally using less than conventional methods of law enforcement.

Defending the Gulf Coast will be released at the end of December 2024

Published works by Lodge include Missing on the Gulf Coast, Escape on the Gulf Coast, Hooked on the Gulf Coast, and Defending the Gulf Coast. She is currently writing Sold on the Gulf Coast, set to release in the spring of 2025.
