Navarre resident Paul “Bart” Steele told South Santa Rosa News that this morning he withdrew from the Santa Rosa County Superintendent’s race, leaving current Superintendent Tim Wyrosdick without opposition leading up to tomorrow’s candidate qualification deadline.
Steele is the second candidate to pull out of the race for Wyrosdick’s seat. Former school district administrator Stewart “Buddy” Powell previously withdrew from the race.
Wyrosdick is a 30-year veteran of Santa Rosa County Schools, serving as Superintendent for the past 7 years.
