Navarre attorney Robert Collins has resigned from the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
“His vacancy will be filled at the October board meeting,” said CEO Judy Morehead, who said the board accepted Collins’ resignation at their September meeting.
So far this year the organization has lost five board members in addition to Collins: Gary Fields, Barry Gossman and Heather Scruggs resigned. Vice Chairman Cindy Stephens and James Dabney were removed.
According to Morehead, the organization has appointed five new board members to replace board members and officers who were removed or resigned.
Gail Acosta, Cindy Berry, Jennifer Bryant, Kelly Fuller and Gerald Gallup are filling the ‘out of cycle’ vacancies.
Morehead said the organization has asked its membership to submit nominations to fill the “out of term” vacancies and those nominees will be presented in October to the membership for a vote.
