After 25 years of service as the Gulf Breeze City Manager, the well-known Edwin “Buz” Eddy, is hanging up his hat.

This week, Eddy announced his plans to retire to city council and also outlined his succession plan. Eddy plans to step into a new position a Special Advisor to the City Manager as part of his 12-month succession plan, which the city is expected to approve on Jan. 17.
