Acclaimed pianist to celebrate Beethoven’s birthday at PSC

Acclaimed pianist Xun Pan will perform at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at Pensacola State College’s Ashmore Auditorium.

Pan’s performance is part of the Sid and Jeannie Kamerman Piano Series and will celebrate Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th’s birthday. Ashmore Auditorium, Building 8, is on the Pensacola campus at 1000 College Blvd.

The winner of multiple international piano competitions, Pan has performed all over the world including Carnegie Hall and the Beijing National Center for the Performing Arts.

Pan received his early musical training from his grandmother and pianists-parents, Pan Yiming and Ying Shizhen. He continued his studies at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, Syracuse University in New York, and earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Tickets are $11, adults; $9, seniors, non-PSC students and children; $7 for PSC Seniors Club members, PSC Alumni Association members, and PSC faculty and staff. Admission is free for PSC students with current ID, tickets must be picked up from the Lyceum Ticket Office.
