26-year-old Keith Greene was booked into Santa Rosa County Jail on a warrant out of Orange County, following an Amber Alert issued Saturday night for 11-year-old Mackenzie Vega.

Danielle Vega expressed gratitude that her daughter was found alive on Interstate 10 in Santa Rosa County after she went missing from their home in Apopka.

The Amber Alert was cancelled Sunday after the victim was discovered on Interstate 10 in Santa Rosa County

“She is in Milton, Florida and I am on the way to get her now,” Vega posted Sunday. “They have the suspect in custody…I am pressing charges and waiting to be briefed by detectives.”

According to Vega, her daughter did not have a phone and allegedly the only access she had to the Internet was via her school-issued computer. She said she planned to discuss that situation with the school district.

Additionally, Vega claims Greene may have had an accomplice who was texting her during the ordeal, pleading with her not to file charges against him, stating “he’s a really great guy.”

Vega went on to say her daughter was not home alone when the incident took place. “She was left with her 21-year-old brother and 16-year-old sister while I went to my mom’s house briefly.”

Greene remains in Santa Rosa County Jail without bond. Per his booking information, his address is listed as homeless out of Austin, Texas.
