An October 15 fundraiser has been planned to help 15-year-old Jace Green of Navarre in his batter with cancer.

Jace has enjoyed sports, including hunting, fishing, football and weightlifting. But after he was diagnosed in February, underwent surgery and started chemotherapy, he has been extremely sick, losing his hair and missing part of the school year.

Despite what he has been going through, his faith remains strong. He continues to have a positive attitude and maintain a sense of humor.

His mom, Toni, a single mom who has puts him first. But she needs help paying for the major medical expenses as well as travel costs and extended time off work.

Subsequently, family and friends have planned a fish fry, which will take place from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 15 at Community of Christ Church, located at 2111 Presidio Street. Plates of fried fish, baked beans, coleslaw, desserts and drink will be available $10.

Additionally, a Yeti Tan Tundra 52-quart wheeled cooler will be raffled off. Tickets will be $5 each or 6 for $20.
