Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office invites the public to Coffee with a Cop!
One day, and a few cups of coffee is all you need to start strengthening the relationship between police and members of the community. No agendas, no barriers, it just takes the willingness to sit down, listen, and have a conversation.
No speeches or specific topics. Just informal conversations about what matters to community residents.
We will eliminate obstacles such as radios, patrol cars and cell phones for a short period to be more approachable and have relaxed conversations with community members.
Coffee with a Cop removes the typical barriers that come between officers and residents. In addition, it is as beneficial for residents as it is for officers. Line level officers begin to see clearly the benefit of police-community collaboration and remember why they decided to put on the badge.
We will have our District Lieutenants and Administrative Staff out in the field at the following locations:
