Santa Rosa County Commission Chairman Bob Cole pre-filed yesterday. Cole has represented District 2 on the board of county commissioners since 2002.
Cole faces two Republican challengers from East Milton: Tammy Jo Brown, who pre-filed November 8, 2016, and Wallis L. Mahute, who signed up to run July 6, 2016.
NPA candidate Kris D. Long of Milton also entered the race November 20, 2017.
So far Brown leads the money race with campaign contributions totaling $2,650. Mahute has collected $592.
