Community Life United Methodist Church to serve as a Mobile Food Pantry

Posted on April 29, 2020 by Staff reports

To help provide relief to local families, Community Life United Methodist Church will serve as a mobile food pantry in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Acting in partnership with Feeding Florida, Community Life will hold a series of mobile food pantries over the coming weeks.

The first upcoming time is this Monday, May 4th at 9 AM until the food is completely distributed via our contact free drive-thru system. Recurring future dates will be announced on our Facebook page on a weekly basis. https://www.facebook.com/clifeumc/

The mobile food pantry will be held in the church’s parking lot, 4115 Soundside Drive, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. Assorted essential groceries such as produce, dairy, and non-perishable items will be available free of charge.

“It’s an emotional time for us as a church,” said Jenn Lusher, “we want to see people, connect with them and love on them. When we identified this need in south Santa Rosa County, we saw this as an opportunity for us to care for our neighbors and share God’s love for them. We are honored to partner with Feeding Florida and grateful for the opportunity to bless so many local families in need.”

Community Life is aware situations like this can create a lot stress and unforeseen complications.
