Tara King, a realtor with Levin Rinke Realty, is one of many locals who have donated blood in an effort to help Navarre realtor Ramona Speer, who needs donations of a rare blood type.

According to a co-worker, life-saving surgery for Speer has been postponed until she receives more O negative blood which not only negative for the KPB antigen but also 100 percent of European descent.

So far Speer has received only four of at least eight needed pints.

The One Blood donation bus will be at the following locations and will be screening blood for Speer’s types and all other needs:

  • 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., Sunday, December 8 at Navarre United Methodist Church;
  • 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 11 at Betty J. Pullum Family YMCA
  • 12-5 p.m., Saturday, December 14 at Walmart Neighborhood Market
