The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Demetrius Gray, 49, of Mobile, Alabama was traveling north on State Road 87 S in the northbound when he attempted to navigate a left turn and change lanes into the inside lane at the U.S. 90 intersection.
Subsequently, Gray’s vehicle’s load began shifting. As a result the cargo overturned onto its right side and began sliding. The vehicle came to final rest approximately 100 feet west of U.S. 90 at SR 87 per FHP.
The driver was not injured per Santa Rosa County Emergency Management, which said it may take up to two hours to clear the roadway.
