Jeffrey Perkins, a former Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy, today received a 25-year sentence for 18 counts of possession of child pornography.
Perkins pleaded no contest in March to the child porn charges and still faces trial this summer for two charges of lewd & lascivious molestation which were later uncovered.
His arrest on the child porn charges was announced in December at a joint press conference by Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the State Attorney’s Office.
Perkins faces a life sentence if convicted of the molestation charges. His trial in that case will begin July 2.
