Henry “Hank” Shirah, Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police for Pensacola State College, has prefiled as a candidate for Santa Rosa County Sheriff.
Sheriff Wendell Hall announced he will not seek re-election, and Shirah is the fourth candidate to sign up for the race.
Hall has endorsed Major Bob Johnson, a 22-year veteran of the agency with more than three decades of experience in law enforcement.
