Tuesday, Sept. 29

Police pulled over a woman at 10:40 p.m. for suspicion of DUI at the 900 block of U.S. Highway 98. When the police made the stop they arrested the driver, Sharon Azzarello, 59, of Pensacola for DUI.

Friday, Oct. 2

GBPD pulled over a motorist at the foot of the Pensacola Bay Bridge for an expired tag. The stop led to the arrest of the driver for Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, Fraud (misuse of a temporary tag), Marijuana Possession (under 20 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver, Charles Coleman, 19, of Gulf Breeze was arrested for the incident.

Saturday, Oct. 3

At the 1800 block of Highway 98, a traffic stop for suspicion of DUI led to the arrest of the driver for DUI at 11:38 p.m. Fifty three-year-old David Carr, of Milton was booked into Santa Rosa County Jail for the incident.

Sunday, Oct. 4

At the 2500 block of Highway 98, police pulled over a speeder at 10:16 p.m. The driver, William Brown, 51, of Navarre was arrested during the stop for DUI.

This past week, GBPD made a total of 111 traffic stops. Seventy four of those traffic stops were served citations and the remaining 37 were let off with a warning.
There were a total of two vehicle accidents with injuries this week and a total of 8 wrecks without injury.
There was one hit and run this week.
