The Santa Rosa District School Board at the October 22 meeting approved Terry Harmon as the new School Board attorney.
Harmon is a shareholder with Sniffen & Spellman, P.A., in Tallahassee, Florida. Mr. Harmon is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Education Law and has represented clients before the Florida Department of Education, the United States Office for Civil Rights, the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings, Florida State Circuit Courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He has served as litigation and transactional counsel to several school districts and colleges in Florida in a variety of education law matters and has lectured on federal and state laws impacting public educational institutions. Mr. Harmon is a member of The Florida Bar’s Education Law Committee, the Florida School Board Attorneys Association, and the Education Law Association.
He received his B.S. in Communication, cum laude, from the Florida State University and his J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law.
