Inaugural Litter Rodeo Beach Cleanup Competition Planned for July 24

Dune Doctors is partnering with Clean Horizons to help sponsor Pensacola’s First Litter Rodeo! Teams of 1-2 will compete to pick up as much litter from our beautiful beaches as possible!
The winners of the competition will win big prizes, such as:

Weekend Stay at an Innisfree Beach Hotel
Lazy Day Beach Services & more!
If you are interested in participating, please click on the Facebook Eventfor more information. If you join us, please wear closed toed-shoes, gloves and sun protection. We highly recommend wearing clothes you are comfortable with soiling. Keep Pensacola Beautiful will provide all litter removal equipment.
Competition Rules: Every participant will be assigned a number at check-in. Kids under 13 can partner with an adult or with another child under 13. There will be no more than two on a team. Participants can weigh as many bags as they can collect. The bag must be able to hang on the scale by itself, and, if it is too heavy, the contents will be split into multiple bags. Items that will not fit into the bag will only receive a 5 pound bonus, and contestants can only receive one bonus per rodeo. The contest is one hour long. The participants are responsible to making it back at the scale area in time for the final weigh-in.
The event will take place from 9-10 a.m. on Sat., July 24 at Park West, located at 1340 Fort Pickens Road on Pensacola Beach. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
