Jury Finds Milton Man Guilty of Sexual Battery on 3-year-old Child

 State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden announced that on July 9, 2021, a Santa Rosa County jury found, James Johnston Stevens, 36 years of age, of Milton, Florida, guilty of three counts of Sexual Battery on a victim less than 12 Years of Age.  Stevens committed the offenses against the three year old child in Milton between March 1, 2019 and July 6, 2019. 

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for August 5, 2021, before Judge Darlene Dickey.  Stevens faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison and designation as a Sexual Predator.
