Kevin Brown today announced the endorsement of Sen. Doug Broxson, who represents the First Senate District encompassing Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties and a portion of Okaloosa County.  Kevin was the campaign manager and senior staff official for Broxson in both the State Senate and State House.

“Kevin Brown has proven himself not only within my office but in his own right as a community leader with a heart for service,” said Sen. Doug Broxson.  “He is a natural fit for this opportunity and is the most prepared individual for the Escambia County Commission (District 2).  I endorse Kevin and look forward to working with him in elected office.”

Sen. Broxson was first elected to the Florida House in 2010 and to the Florida Senate in 2016, where he serves as Chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Education.  A long-time entrepreneur in insurance and real estate, Broxson was born in Pensacola to a family with strong Panhandle ties.  Several of his family members served in elected law enforcement and the Florida Legislature.

“I am so honored to receive this endorsement from Senator Broxson,” said candidate Kevin Brown.  “He is someone I look up to as a statesman and an advocate for our region in Tallahassee. I am humbled by his support.”

In the office of Doug Broxson, Kevin has been instrumental in connecting federal, state, and local officials to meet the challenges facing Escambia County, including the BP Oil Spill and recovery, the Blue Angels license plate, military and veteran issues, and a number of other economic and transportation issues.  He served as Chairman of the EscaRosa Young Republicans, and as the Treasurer, State Committeeman, and Chairman of the Escambia County Republican Party.  He also served as the North Florida Director for Attorney General Pam Bondi’s 2014 campaign.  Earlier in his career, he worked for U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn and Bob Corker of Tennessee and former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens.

Broxson’s endorsement follows Thursday’s announcement that Rep. Michelle Salzman also endorsed Kevin Brown.
