The Greater Navarre Area Chamber’s inaugural Lunch for a Cause was held last Friday, April 21 at Samurai Japanese Restaurant in Navarre.
The event benefited the Navarre Weekend Food Program, raising $2,057 for the effort to provide nutritional weekend food supplements for disadvantaged students.
The event sold out with 80 people packing the hibachi tables at Samurai Japanese Restaurant.

In addition to benefiting from Lunch for a Cause, the Navarre Weekend Food Program on April 21 also received a $5,000 donation from Ludgina Dieujuste, founder of I Embody All Things Great, which hosted a 5K fundraiser for the program. Additionally, Pirates of the Panhandle made a $1,000 contribution to the program.
