The Greater Navarre Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a June 7 fundraiser for NW Florida E.D.G.E, the nonprofit organization which oversees the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station and future Gulf Coast Discovery Center, which is planned for construction.

“We will have guest hibachi chefs, along with real ones, great food and fun, and an awesome raffle and an auction,” said Chamber CEO TJ Goulet.

Some of the event’s guest chef’s include Santa Rosa County Schools Superintendent Tim Wyrosdick, Assistant Superintendent Billy Emerson, Holley-Navarre Middle School Assistant Principal Pete Della Ratta and Mike Thorpe, the school district’s director of Inservice and Instructional Technology.

All proceeds will go toward the education and conservation programs of the Marine Science Station and Gulf Coast Discovery Center.

The lunch cost includes appetizers, hibachi with a choice of steak, chicken or shrimp.  Tea, soda and water will also be provided.

The event is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. and is open to the public. However, only 80 seats are available. According to Goulet, half of the tickets have already been sold. Tickets are $25 and available via www.eventbrite.com.
