Congratulations to the latest group of Realtors® from the Navarre Area Board of Realtors® who are working towards attaining the coveted Florida Military Specialist certification in order to better serve the area’s local military.
The program was created to educate Florida’s Realtors® how to help active military, reservists, military retirees and their families with the complex issues they may face when it comes to buying or selling a home, finding a place to live or dealing with home loans. NABOR executive director, Angela Campbell, shares: “The mantra: ‘They served us with honor, let’s serve them with pride’, exemplifies the mission of the program. With an annual economic impact in the local tri-county area exceeding $10,007,000,000, and with military installations the #1 economic engine, the importance of championing military families with exemplary service as they re-locate to or transition from the area is of paramount importance. Moving home is stressful. Using a qualified REALTOR® expert who understands the local market, and the challenges that come with a military move, makes sense.”
The military specialist certification program covers:
- Florida’s military demographics
- Laws associated with VA (Veterans’ Administration), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and various tax implications
- Military branches, ranks and acronyms
- Unique financing options and general eligibility requirements for the military
- Solutions for challenges facing Florida’s disabled veterans, including housing requirements, housing assistance and government programs
- Property leasing or management considerations for military customers and their families
