Windjammers on the Pier Restaurant & Bar will host its Grand Reopening on Friday after post-season improvements and storm repairs, following Winter Storm Finn, which brought damaging winds and an outbreak of tornadoes to the Florida Panhandle.
Pier operators were already working on post-season improvements to the pier restrooms and upgrades to the bar when the storm hit January 9, causing damage to the restaurant and county-owned pier.
County crews were able to repair and reopen the pier within two days, and the restaurant hosted its soft reopening last week.
The official reopening takes place Friday, starting at 11 a.m. and will feature live entertainment by Tribe Zion from 2-6 p.m. Windjammers will also be launching a new full cocktail and food menu.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Navarre Chamber of Commerce will take place at 4 p.m., and at 7 p.m. American Idol contestant Colby Swift will perform a three-hour set.
