School Resource Officers with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office on March 1 investigated an allegation involving a student at Navarre High School.

The student utilized Instagram to send a message stating “I need some bombs to blow up the damn school and shoot up my house.”

The Instagram message was traced by Deputies and found to belong to Joshua Dominick Allen, a student at Navarre High School.

This is a violation of Florida State Statute 790.162; threatening to discharge a destructive device. This crime is a second-degree felony.

The School Resource Officer applied for a warrant through the Santa Rosa County Court system. Upon approval by a Judge, the warrant was served March 2 and Allen was arrested and taken to the Santa Rosa County Jail.
