Alvah Brian Carlson Jr, 61, was booked December 29 into Santa Rosa County Jail for exposure of sexual organs and trespassing after a complainant provided police with a home surveillance video which showed a tattoed man masturbating in her back yard.

The victim told police her Ring camera captured a man standing  in her back yard, exposing his genital area to the camera. She told police she neither gave him permission to be on the property nor invited him to be on the property. She said she was able to identify the subject by his distinctive tattoos.

In the aforementioned video, police observed a man not wearing any lower body clothing, holding his penis in one hand while holding up his shirt with the other. Additionally, the video shows the male subject stroking his penis from base to tip multiple times.

When a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s deputy followed up with Carlson, he stated he did not remember the incident, explaining that he takes Ambien and “does not remember anything” when taking it.

Cops were unable to clearly see the subject’s face in the October 11, 2022 video; however, the subject’s distinctive tattoos, including a New England Patriots logo tattoo on his right forearm and a spider tattoo between his right thumb and index finger, helped positively identify him, per the arrest report.

A warrant affadavit for Carlson’s arrest was signed December 28, 2022 by First Judicial Circuit Judge David Oberliesen. He was booked into Santa Rosa County Jail at 10:15 a.m., December 29.

Carlson, per his arrest report, resides at 2215 Frontera Street in Navarre. He was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of indecent exposure of sexual organs and a first-degree misdemeanor count of tresspassing. He was issued a $5,000 bond and released at 1:11 p.m., December 29.
