Navarre’s own Beachside Bubble Waffle was recently named Best Dessert on the Emerald Coast by readers of Emerald Coast Magazine, and if you’ve never tried their warm, crispy bubble waffles paired with ice cream, you’re missing out on an award-winning treat!
Lori Newell and Endre Stampf have owned and operated Beachside Bubble Waffle for two and a half years. It’s conveniently located in the Food Truck Alley at Pik-Itz – less than a half mile north of U.S. 98 on Hwy. 87 S.
Fall hours are currently underway, so the business is open from 3-8 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. However, they also open up from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for most of the weekly outdoor markets at Pik-Itz (check their social media sites for details).
Dozens of flavors are offered, including seasonal favorites like Pumpkin Spice, and the bubble waffle treat comes in three sizes, allowing options for portion control: mini, junior and regular. Milkshakes are also available.
No tips are accepted, but the business, which takes cash or cards, does accept contributions toward their support of local non-profit organizations. Beachside Bubble Waffle has donated more than $11,000 to groups like the Pink Pirates, Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge and Navarre Beach Lifeguards.
“The support from Lori & Endre at Beachside Bubble Waffle is greatly appreciated! Community-minded businesses significantly help us in our mission to fight breast cancer at the local level,” said Frankie Gibbs of Pink Pirates.
Customers can also stop by to grab “pints to go” at the 1922 Hwy. 87 S location or at Navarre Bakery & Creamery. Additionally, delivery is also available via Grocery Concierge.
Veterans and first responders receive a 10% discount.
“Giving back to a community that has given so much to us is a very important component of our business model and why we have chosen to collect donations for different non-profits in our community in lieu of tips,” said Newell.
