The Panhandle Butterfly House located inside Navarre Park opened today for its 20th season, and Santa Rosa County Commission Chairman Rob Williamson shared the park’s new master plan with attendees.
In addition to a new Butterfly House facility, which will be constructed closer to the existing Santa Rosa County Visitor Information Center, the plan also includes expanded parking with relocated park ingress/egress, a waterfront stage and performance area, veteran’s memorial walkway, new playground and interactive water play area, trellis swings and new picnic table shelters.
The Butterfly House, featuring an educational exhibition and garden area, will be open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays, through August.
