New Navarre Chamber CEO to start Tuesday

Posted on October 7, 2015 by Romi White

Judy Morehead of Navarre has been selected as the next CEO of the Navarre Area Chamber of Commerce. She’s scheduled to start her new job Tuesday.

The chamber has been dealing with the community’s response and board member resignations in the aftermath of the unexpected firing of former CEO Tony Alexander.

Here is the letter the current chamber president emailed the board regarding the new hire:

Dear Members,

The Chamber Board has hired Judy Morehead, a resident of Navarre, as the new CEO.

Judy possesses a wide range of successful experience in Leadership, Marketing and Operations Management.  She brings superior skill sets to the position such as interpersonal, problem solving, finance/budget review and supervisory experience with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Members of the Selection Committee found Judy to be very personable, confident, community oriented and responsibility focused.  She has worked on numerous Board of Directors throughout her career and has extensive experience with non-profit organizations.

“The Chamber Board is encouraged by her experience and small business knowledge. I’m confident we have made an excellent choice for our members.”

Judy will meet with the BOD Wednesday morning at our October Board meeting.  Her first full working day will be Tuesday, October 13th.  We encourage you to make plans to attend the October Commerce & Coffee and help us welcome her!
