Silver Airways just announced the debut of daily non-stop service from the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) beginning on May 17, 2019.
This service will fill a highly-demanded route between our local region and Central Florida, and beyond with connections to Silver’s network throughout the entire state of Florida, as well as a multitude of destinations stemming from Silver’s codeshare and interline ticketing partnerships with airlines including United, American, and Delta. Okaloosa County Commissioner Carolyn Ketchel stated, “We no longer have to go north to go south. The one request I’ve received over and over again from our local citizens is a flight to Central Florida, and now we have it!”
