Navarre kicked off the first of four games this week when they hosted Crestview on Monday and scored seven runs out of nine hits in order to come away with the 7-4 victory over the Bulldogs.
Navarre senior pitcher Octavian Moyer struck out half of the batters he faced for Navarre. Brandon Villanueva and Tyler Rebber picked up the other two strike outs to bring the team’s total to six for the night. All of Crestview’s runs were scored in the two innings that Rebber was on the mound, where he walked three out of 15 batters to allow the Bulldogs four points.
Michael Sandle scored two runs for the Raiders, giving him the most runs on the team for the season with 10. Moyer and Andre Macedo each hit a pair of RBIs during the game, while Rebber and Sandle added one a piece to bring home six of their teammates.
Koby Anderson, Matthew Cronin, Dusty Rogers, Macedo and Rebber each contributed the rest of the runs in the Raiders’ second victory against Crestview in less than a week. Navarre increased its conference record to 3-1 with the win and will be looking to the next district game against Niceville on April 2 as an opportunity to defend their spot at the top of the league.
