Join Escambia and Santa Rosa county extension agents to learn about our natural resources through the Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP). The FMNP is a hands-on outdoor learning experience for adults that informs and prepares them to share information about area’s natural world and environmental history. The 40-hour class will be held Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 13 through April 24.
The $275 registration includes classroom instruction, field trips and practical interpretive experiences related to the general ecology, habitats, vegetation types, wildlife and conservation issues of local wetland systems. Field trips will include the Yellow River Marsh State Park, Splinter Hill Pitcher Plant Bog, Gull Point Preserve, Arcadia Mill Archeological site, the Mobile-Tensaw Delta and more.
Register online before March 6. For questions, contact Chris Verlinde, 850-623-3868 or Rick O’Connor, 850-475-5230.
