The Navarre Area Board of Realtors (NABOR) conducted an auction during their April 13 monthly luncheon to benefit their Relay for Life team.
NABOR has set a goal of raising $18,500 for the May 5 Relay for Life event, which will take place at Navarre High School.
Local auctioneer Donna Sue Harvell facilitated the event, which featured auctions for weekend getaways and even homemade cakes, which sold for up to $80 each.
Rodney Waits, the Navarre lead for Relay for Life and also co-chairman of NABOR’s Relay team, said there is still a need for volunteers and donations.
Proceeds go toward cancer research and programs such as Roads to Recovery, which helps transport cancer patients to treatments, and Look Good to Feel Better, which provides wigs to chemotherapy patients.
