Remembering Terry Joseph Broxson

Posted on February 7, 2022 by Bobbie Broxson

I took some time off from writing stories for the South Santa Rosa News for the last 6 months due to the death of my son, Terry Joseph Broxson.  You never think that you will have to bury a child before your time is up here on this Earth. It does happen and I can truly say that God was with me every step of the way. I would not have made it without my Lord. He was my Rock to lean on.

Terry gave his life to the Lord and knew he was going to be with the Lord soon and said, “Mama, I am in the Lord’s hands.”  What peace that brought to this Mama’s heart. I knew then that I was not losing my son forever, and I would be with him again soon. He messaged my daughter in Pensacola and said, “I gave my life to Jesus Christ. I am in the Lord’s hands.” Those were his last words to her.

He is now safe with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will soon be with him and all of our family that have gone to be with the Lord. My mom and dad saw some of their children leave this old world before they went to be with the Lord and also my husband’s family saw several of their children leave this old world before they did. One of them, their oldest son, was killed on their 50th wedding anniversary. He was 49 years old.  That is young.  Another one of their children died at 25 years old and several others of their children passed on before them.

God is good.  He always sees us through the heartbreaks. That is one reason for me writing the “Gone but not Forgotten” stories about Kevin.  That family has had much heartbreak.  Kevin was such a good young man.  He will always be missed by all that knew him. More stories coming soon about Kevin and his family!!
