The Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County (DOH-Santa Rosa) has established a dedicated call line to respond to residents’ questions and concerns about COVID-19 in Santa Rosa County. Residents may call 850-564-2307 to have their questions answered 24 hours a day.
Questions may also be directed to the State’s COVID-19 call line at 1-866-779-6121, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or email COVID-19@flhealth.gov.
DOH-Santa Rosa encourages residents to continue to take precautions against the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
- If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
- Cover your coughs or sneezes with a disposable tissue, then throw the tissue away, or cough or sneeze into your sleeve or elbow.
- Most importantly, stay home if you are sick, and keep children home if they are sick, until fever free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing or cough suppressing medication.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces using a regular household cleaner or wipes.
- Practice social distancing. Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet away from others and do not gather in groups of more than 10.
- Avoid unnecessary travel.
