Santa Rosa County Superintendent of Schools Tim Wyrosdick said the district is “closely monitoring” Tropical Storm Nate.
“From the 11 am briefing, we anticipate our area to be affected Sunday based on its current speed and direction. At present, I see no need to alter activities for Friday evening,” he said.
Wyrosdick said Saturday will bring heavy rains and a decision regarding Saturday evening events will be made by noon on Friday.
“At present, school will be in session on Monday,” Wyrosdick added, encouraging continued monitoring of the storm’s progression.
