Second Lady Karen Pence to Meet with Military Spouses and the Blue Angels at Naval Air Station Pensacola

On Wednesday, October 14, Second Lady Karen Pence will travel to Pensacola, Florida to meet with military spouses and view a Blue Angels demonstration at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola.  

Upon arrival, Mrs. Pence will participate in a senior leadership briefing and receive an overview of the available mental health and military spouse programs. Representatives of these programs and a chaplain will participate in the briefing. Mrs. Pence will highlight her role with PREVENTS and discuss the importance of addressing mental health and providing resources for service members and their families. Then, Mrs. Pence will view a Blue Angels practice flight demonstration and meet with Blue Angels Team Members. The pilots will give an overview about their team, the new planes, and how they’ve been modifying their season due to the pandemic.  

Following the demonstration, Mrs. Pence will deliver remarks to military spouses highlighting their unique strength in the military community and important contributions to the readiness of our Armed Forces.
