Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson has established a foundation aimted to provide support to employees of the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office community engagement, charitable organizations within Santa Rosa County, and charitable organizations whose purpose is to support First Responders and their families.

The SRSO Star Foundation has a board of 8 directors, including but not limited to Chairman Ed Carson, Vice-chairman, Claude Duvall, Treasurer Joanna Johannes and Secretary Shelby Richardson.  along with Chief Deputy Randall Tifft, who serves as president.

“The Foundation is a wonderful way for the community to show their support of law enforcement employees and their families; those who might find themselves in dire need because of illness or bereavement. In today’s challenging times, the Foundation will also provide opportunities thru education, awareness and events that strengthen the relationship and engage the community,” said Navarre Area Board of Realtors® Association Executive Angela Campbell, who serves on the foundation’s board of directors. “This is a powerful and positive step for the Agency and the citizens of Santa Rosa County.”

The foundation will host its first event, a sporting clay shoot, on May 10th at Santa Rosa Shooting Center, located at 6950 Quintette Road in Pace. Tickets per four-person team are $500.

Additionally, a Sheriff’s Rodeo is planned for August 9th & 10th at the Santa Rosa County Fairgrounds.
