Sims Middle School Dean Quits After Investigation

Posted on December 3, 2025 by Romi White

Sims Middle School’s Dean of Students, Joshua Parm, was placed on non-disciplinary paid administrative leave effective Sept. 11, 2025, pending the outcome of an investigation. He submitted his resignation on Nov. 17.

That letter states:

I would like to use my last 6 days of personal leave and tender my resignation as of December 2nd. I would like to schedule a time to pick up my belongings from my office. I would prefer to fight this, but the way the system is set up it seems the only way to keep this from going in my personnel file is the resign prior to a decision. I do not need/want any of this to become public records even though I vehemently deny any wrongdoing. Please let me know if you need further information.

The matter was reviewed by external investigative agencies. Once released by those agencies to the district, an internal investigation was conducted by the District.

A spokeswoman for Santa Rosa County District Schools today confirmed Parm is no longer an employee .

In accordance with state statute, the findings have been submitted to the Office of Professional Practices for review.
