John Sutherland believes the key to his successful career in the international automotive sales industry was a desire to help others. Now he’s applying that passion, plus his extensive sales experience and skills set, toward helping others find their dream home or sell their property in the Florida Panhandle.
John and his wife found their own paradise, moving to Navarre Beach a couple of years ago. Since then he’s discovered that being an Islander offers him a significant advantage as a real estate agent. He has his pulse on Navarre Beach and knows the island, the locals and the area market. That’s led to listings and sales.
“I started out the year selling six in January and February. Four of those were military families, and I must say it is the greatest feeling, helping those who serve our great country,” he said. “I hope to serve the military even at greater lengths in the future.”
John said that although being a general sales manager for Nissan was satisfying, there is no comparison to the satisfaction of watching a family on closing day when they buy their forever home.
Because at heart, it’s all about John’s motivation to help others find happiness.
“That’s really important to me,” he said, pointing out the satisfaction he gets from putting a bow on someone’s new home or delivering a basket full of coastal gifts upon closing and seeing their reactions.

“I like to promote them well. Some realtors may get the listing and not focus on it. But I will do what it takes, including weekly open houses,” he said.
