United Airlines Announces Non-Stop Flight from Chicago to Destin-Fort Walton Beach

United Airlines has announced their debut of non-stop service from the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), beginning on June 8, 2019.

The weekend air service to Chicago will be operated on the Bombardier CRJ-200 regional jet on Saturdays and Sundays.

“Chicago is a strong originating market for our local area, and with the service beginning during our busy summer travel season, we are confident in its performance,” said Tracy Stage, Okaloosa County Airports Director. “Over 1.4 million passengers are projected to have traveled through our doors in 2018, and every passenger brings visitor spending to energize our local economy. We are thrilled to welcome passengers from Chicago to our beautiful Emerald Coast and connect with United’s largest hub, and are very proud to land our local residents non-stop service to the Windy City.”
