Award-winning personal injury law firm Zarzaur Law, P.A., is excited to announce they will be sponsoring and hosting artist Rod “Rodman” Leisure’s one-man show during this Friday’s Gallery Night event in Downtown Pensacola.
The one-night-only show will be at 106 Palafox Place and will run in conjunction with Zarzaur Law’s “Legal Graffiti” fundraising event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., held at the intersection of Palafox and Romana Street. The show will feature a collection of Leisure’s extensive work. Leisure was also one of the featured artists during Zarzaur Law’s “Mural Alley” event which took place in November.
The son of a hardworking plumbing contractor, Leisure wouldn’t let the artist in him be stifled. The work ethic Rod “RodMan” Leisure gained while working with his father all those years is still evident in his work today, from a 100+ hour drawing to giant wall murals. He gained the vision and fortitude it takes to tackle a challenging subject and see it from start to finish. Rod’s practical, efficient approach to doing art stems from those years as a blue-collar worker. A great big “can do” attitude.
Ever inquisitive and often referred to as a Renaissance man, Rod tackled many forms of art, jumping in with both feet on everything from fine art, murals, Plein Air, sculpture, custom paint, the list really does go on and on! It was his natural curiosity about how this whole “art thing” works that led him to demonstrate, lecture, teach, and even consult on a book being written on the art process.
A portion of Leisure’s sales will be donated to the December Zarzaur Law “Legal Graffiti” charity of choice, the Pensacola Bay Alzheimer’s Association.
